IN MEMORIUM
ALWAYS REMEMBERED - NEVER FORGOTTEN
Our beloved friend and honorary member William Kaunda aka "Mr. Diesel", honorary member of the „Mad Nick Society“ aka „ the League of the extraordinary Gentlemen“ passed away in the early hours of the 3rd of February in 2023, just three days after his 43rd birthday.
His death came completely unexpected to all members of „The League“.
William was one of „Mad Nick's“ best friends in Africa and a dear friend of Mad Nick for over 13 years.
William and „Mad Nick“ shared many adventures together, particularly in the DR Congo and in Zambia.
Both men went side by side through many dangerous situations, through successful missions, and above all, they laughed a lot together during their daring ventures. Together they were an unbeatable team for more than a decade.
William even saved Mad Nick's live during one of their missions in 2010.
Much of the footage of „Mad Nick's“ travels and actions in Africa only exists because William filmed the trips with his camera.
Both men sat together in the mud during the rain season in the no man's land of the Congolese jungle, as well as in the most notorious bars of Williams homeland.
William's hospitality was exceptional as was his overall character.
William was a brave man who feared no danger and he was a true old-school adventurer with exceptional business acumen.
William was also a member of the "Special Operation Unit" of „The Order 777“, the legendary counter-terrorist department of „The League“, which was disbanded in 2017.
William will be greatly missed by our organisation, but there shall be no mourning, because it would have been William's wish that we continue our struggle for freedom and justice with all of our strength and joy.
Wes hall deliver William's final words, admonishing our members to never give up the fight:
"No matter the economy of the jungle, the lion will never eat grass."
„The League of the extraordinary Gentlemen“ says goodbye to a truly extraordinary man. We say goodbye to our honorary member and loyal friend.
RIP
Brother William Kaunda aka "Mr. Diesel"
